WHAT YOU’LL DO


As a NOC Intern, you’ll join our team for a ten-week period, lasting from June 3rd to August 7th. The internship requires 40 hours of on-site work per week.


You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Network Operations Center (NOC) team, gaining hands-on experience in network monitoring, incident management, and documentation. This role is designed to provide insight into network operations, alert handling, and standardization efforts. You will be responsible for analyzing alert data, identifying inconsistencies, and assisting in the development of corrective actions.


 Major duties and responsibilities:



  • Monitor and document cases created by PAM, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

  • Analyze PAM alerts, capturing descriptions, categories, subcategories, and priorities.

  • Track assignment groups, site statuses, asset details, and product information.

  • Identify inconsistencies in documentation and recommend corrective actions for standardization.

  • Document case flows in Customer Runbooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Track and report alert trigger delays, including delays in case creation by category.

  • Analyze and document time durations between the original down event and case creation timestamps.

  • Work with the NOC team to improve alert response processes and documentation.

Key Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

  • Interest in network operations, incident management, and process standardization.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Proactive and eager to learn from experienced NOC professionals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Be able to sit for extended periods of time without any problems 

  • Consistent use of hands and fingers for typing 

  • Consistent use of eyes to analyze monitoring applications, spreadsheets, ticketing systems and web on computer screen
