Capital Financial Analyst I (Contractor)

Description:
Drives system efficiencies providing positive operational impacts across the Construction portfolio contributing to growth initiatives. Maintains standard reporting measures, documentation and processes, quantitative explanation of relevant data, and ongoing analysis of alternatives and solutions. Provides financial summaries with analysis support for metrics related to forecast and budget variances, and funding needs within the Construction related lines of business.
Core Responsibilities:
• Work closely with managers and leaders to understand their resources, including funding sources, project end dates, and other relevant data.
• Validates and actions data, through cooperation from team members and regular spot checks.
• Creates and maintains multiple operational reporting tools.
• Provides analytical support of actual results against forecast and budget, and feasibility of proposed business strategies.
• Analyzes available data and information, identifies data issues, and recommends changes to management. Develops a process to streamline the efforts in the research, analysis, actionable steps, and tracking in this area.
• Consolidates data elements/sources and delivers to help drive data-based strategic decision making.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Generally requires 3-5 years related experience
• High level of experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Index and other complex formulas and analysis requests.
Supplier Note: 4 days in office Mon-Thurs
Capital finance team; partner with construction team forecast for budget and determine spend monthly
This is a support role to help with business partner management - AP side; send emails monthly to the BPs with amounts to be invoiced, or remove codes from estimates in the system; be a main POC for this; also supporting analyst with weekly reporting, Purchase Orders, AP holds - none beyond 30 days; monitoring AP aging
This role is AP heavy; would like those with AP experience Excel; pivot tables and VLOOKUP's Good communication skills as they will be reaching out to the Business Partners Oracle Salesforce
Skills that would help to be successful in this role: Excel skills, communication skills, detail oriented - this role requires line item reconciliation for a high volume of jobs.
Ideally wants someone with min Associates degree who is looking for more experience who has managed an AR or AP portfolio and looking to get into an analyst role
