Who we are looking for

State Street Global Technology Services ERM systems is looking for an experienced developer to manage workflow functionality for Enterprise Risk Management Applications. We are looking for a senior full stack developer lead with strong big data skills for real time and batch based systems.

What you will be responsible for

As Developer you will


  • Perform the technical design, development, integration, and testing efforts for data using various development languages and tools to create quality solutions that meet the Realtime and batch based business requirements

  • Develops and maintains complex systems

  • Supports production systems to ensure business continuity

  • Works with key stakeholders to design solutions for complex requirements and lead from inception to production

  • Lead code review sessions & create technical design plans

  • Innovates on and advocates for best practices and improved team processes; mentors junior team members


What we value

  • 10+ years of Full stack Developer with experience in Java, Scala, Big Data systems, pipelines and data processing.

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Core JAVA, Spring, Scala, Oracle and ANSI SQL system.

  • Good understanding of Unix ecosystem and shell scripting.

  • Good understanding and hands on Microservices architecture and systems.

  • Familiarity with rule based job engines for batch based system

  • Familiarity with AWS

  • Experience with big data technology such as Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Apache Sqoop, Apache kafka, Apache Spark & one of the NoSQL databases such as HBase/MongoDB/Cassandra etc.

  • Understanding on various distributed file formats such as Apache AVRO, Apache Parquet and common methods in data transformation.

  • Experience in an Agile-based environment

  • Strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership.

  • Strong communication and decision-making skills

  • Experience in Financial/Risk domain is a plus


Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 10+ years of Full stack Developer with experience in Java, Scala, Big Data systems, pipelines and data processing.

  • Financial Services Background with Risk and Regulatory Experience

Salary Range:
$130,000 - $205,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
