Overview

Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Quality Technicianto work in our Westminster, SC location. This is a 3rd shift position. Standard hours are Sunday-Wednesday from 9:30 pm to 7:30 am, with ovetime, as needed. Pay starts at $20.86 per hour and offer will be based on experience. 

 

Position Information:

The Quality Technician is responsible for technical aspects of quality assurance including but not limited to solving technical problems with process, machines, equipment, and procedures. The employee is responsible for developing recommendations for process/QA improvements. With general guidance from QA Supervisor, employee uses knowledge of production process and basic mathematical capacities to continuously improve technical aspects of quality assurance. Employee uses statistical techniques, standard measures and methods, training materials, and gauging to meet customer requirements in quality and delivery at the most favorable cost.

Responsibilities

Quality Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducts process inspections as directed by QA supervisor
  • Identifies and implements improvements for potential PPM opportunities
  • Assists with Receiving Inspection
  • Assists with maintaining and updating gages
  • Conducts internal quality audits
  • Assists with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Assists with 8D Process and CRM
  • Assists with APQP process
  • Assists with inception and maintenance of work instructions
  • Assists with root cause analysis of non-conforming product
  • Work with suppliers and customers to support manufacturing processes and improvements
  • As with everyone on the team, other duties may be assigned to support the overall success of the company.


Qualifications



Quality Technician Qualifications:

  • Requires skills and knowledge consistent with that of two years of college or trade school or equivalent.
  • Note: Equivalent education equals 2 years of closely related experience for 1 year of education in the quality field.  
  • Prior Quality experience is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No current or future sponsorship is available for this position.
