What will you do?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineering ETO Cluster Leader to oversee project engineering operations for the Power Systems ETO Plants located in the US and Canada. This role will be responsible for direct leadership of the Project Engineering Managers in the following locations: Brossard, Edmonton, Columbia SC, Salisbury, and Seneca. It will be pivotal in driving engineering excellence across our plant locations, ensuring that transformational projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of engineering processes, and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.

The identified candidate will be a critical member of a NAM Project Engineering team that provides general management and direction of an engineering organization and ensues all performance metrics are achieved.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of engineering managers, providing guidance and support in their roles.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the engineering teams.

Project Oversight:

Oversee multiple engineering projects across various plant locations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front office, quality, and supply chain, to ensure project success.

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners regarding cluster performance, project updates and engineering solutions.

Strategy Development:

Collaborate with the Project Engineering Leadership Team to develop and implement engineering strategies that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.

Coordinate performance metrics and goals for engineering teams, tracking progress and ensuring accountability.

Budget Management:

Manage project budgets, ensuring resource allocation is optimized and financial targets are met.

Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.

  • Must have bachelor's degree in engineering field.

  • 10+ years of engineering experience and at least 6 years of previous management experience

  • Demonstrated management and people skills

  • Fast learner and willing to travel periodically for training opportunities.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers (internal and external), employees, and management.

  • Flexible and have the proven ability to prioritize tasks, work unassisted, and meet deadlines.
