Hays Commercial Real Estate have partnered with a national owner/operator, who are looking to hire an Assistant General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a key shopping center within their Virginia portfolio.
Your new role
Leaning on your prior experience in retail property management, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and financial performance of a 500k sq ft shopping mall. Reporting into the Regional General Manager, your duties will include maintaining first-class tenant relations, overseeing all maintenance and capital projects, creating and managing budgets, vendor and staff management, supporting leasing teams with potential new business, conducting property inspections, and collaborating with marketing teams to help drive guest foot-traffic. You will always be looking to assess and reassess the asset, identifying priorities and objectives, improving operations and customer experience.
What you'll need to succeed
• Minimum of 3 years retail property management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the Virginia retail market.
• Excellent customer and tenant relations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Yardi.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
