Intern receives academic credit in accordance with school and internship guidelines. Internship provides hands-on learning experience.


The intern will coordinate hospital-wide training projects, manage documentation and communication, track project schedules, analyze data, and develop reporting dashboards for senior leaders. Organize reports, plan meetings, and provide updates to the manager. Maintain project administration, including plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures.


The internship provides:
• Hands-On Learning: Give interns practical exposure to meaningful work, enabling them to apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations.
• Skills Acquisition: Help interns develop industry-specific and transferable skills such as project management, communication, and problem-solving.
• Networking: Provide opportunities to connect with professionals in the field and build relationships that can assist with career development.
• Career Exploration: Help interns assess whether a particular field or position aligns with their long-term career aspirations.
• Organizational Insight: Provide a deeper understanding of MGB culture, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.


Duties Include:


• Analyzes training data and aggregates it to support training initiatives, including an optimization program
• Works closely with other team members to write and disseminate project documents, action plans, progress reports and presentations
• Ensures that all projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for the project
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
• Creates a project management calendar to fulfill each goal and objective
• Works collaboratively project stakeholders, supporting team members in fulfilling project plans and completing project tasks
• Collects and accurately documents project status, issues, and risks
• Recognizes, communicates, and escalates concerns relevant to project deliverables and/or timeline in a timely manner
• Assists in gathering necessary information for program scope change requests
• Schedules and assists with facilitating project meetings, including creating agendas, minutes and capturing key action items.
• Assists with creation and maintenance of key team artifacts including timelines and other project templates
• Works with Training and other and Digital staff in design, maintenance, and distribution of reports while also overseeing ad hoc data analyses and new report development as needed.

Qualifications



Education



  • Pursing bachelor's degree in management, information systems, statistics, or equivalent

  • Experience with project management and/or analytics

  • Healthcare knowledge, particularly as it pertains to electronic medical record data, is preferred but not required.

  • Experience working with large teams and with driving conversations and decisions across multiple workstreams

  • Experience in support or training of Electronic Medical Records is a plus

  • Strong PC / Microsoft application skills including Word, Excel, SharePoint, Visio, Teams, and PowerPoint

  • Customer services/support experience is a plus

  • A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements






Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • • Proficient in querying, manipulating, cleansing, and analyzing large data sets, with strong Excel skills for creating polished visualizations.


    • Experienced in building dashboards and reports, and presenting data to senior leaders.


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.


    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


    • Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a high degree of initiative.


    • Skilled in project/program management disciplines and tools, and capable of making sound decisions using logic and experience.


    • Adaptable to change and able to negotiate unclear situations.


    • Proactively seeks additional help or guidance when needed






Additional Job Details (if applicable)




  • This internship will be June 2nd - August 8th 2025.

  • M-F Hybrid role includes onsite at MGB local sites and Assembly Row.

  • Remote working days require stable, quiet, secure working area that is HIPAA compliant

  • Onsite events are planned ahead, working days onsite weekly vary for department needs, must be flexible.
