ESSENTIAL DUTIES BY POSITION


Toolroom Repair

• Performs routine maintenance on casting and trim dies
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine and grinder to machine parts
• Uses stoning tools and other pneumatic or hydraulic tools to repair pins, cavities, dies, etc.
• Performs general welding for repairs and maintenance

Maintenance Mechanic

• • Maintains and repairs production equipment
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical issues
  • Performs torque and leak tester verification procedures
  • Works with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics
  • Completes PM's per maintenance department specs

Machine Controls Technician

• • Installs and configures new & refurbed automated industrial machine control systems
  • Programs PLCs--writes and modifies PLC logic to control machine operations according to specifications
  • Diagnoses system malfunctions, identifies faulty components, and performs repairs to restore operational functionality
  • Performs Data Analysis- Monitors system performance metrics, identifies trends, and recommends improvements

Production Technician

• Performs procedures for casting die and trim press setups, changeovers and sleeve changes
• Analyzes die problems in collaboration with Tool Room, Maintenance, and Process Engineer/Coordinator team members
• Performs minor/major die repairs
• Ensures that cell is completely set up and ready for production.
• Performs general maintenance and maintains correct fluid levels, media, tools and supplies for all equipment

Single Minute Exchange of Die Technician (SMED)

• Performs Production Technician duties
• Focuses on changeover efficiency and reduction of downtime
• Requires completion of SMED training

All Positions

• • Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as required
  • Meets all physical and environmental requirements

REQUIREMENTS MAY INCLUDE



Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree


Certifications/Licenses: Journeyman or CNC Apprenticeship Certifications


Experience: One+ years maintenance, machine shop, or related production experience in a similar environment
