Job Description:

DESCRIPTION:
The Test Technician is responsible for product performance testing of critical semiconductor products on dedicated electromechanical test stands and fixtures, and analysis, interpretation, and storage of test data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Setup, test, and evaluate test results using dedicated test fixtures, multi meters, power supplies, and related electromechanical equipment

  • Testing of electrostatic chucks for voltage breakdown, chucking performance, leakage current, and helium flow

  • Analysis, interpretation, trouble shooting and storage of test data in accordance with established procedures

  • Preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment

  • Troubleshoot and basic equipment repair

  • Conduct failure analysis activities as required

  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation

  • Maintain general lab upkeep

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned

  • Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices



EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associates degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent test experience in a semiconductor environment preferred

  • Previous experience working with electromechanical test equipment in the semiconductor industry

  • Working knowledge of basic electronics to understand system function, assist in troubleshooting, and provide the foundation for test results interpretation

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and follow established procedures

  • Ability to pay close attention to details of various processes and test methodologies

  • Ability to solder, build cables, and wire test systems, instrumentation, and units being tested

  • Must be well-organized and perform basic math

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

  • Ability to take notes, document a process, and repeat the process

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to perform daily tasks with little or no supervision



PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:


  • Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts; reach with hands and arms; and talk and/or hear instructions

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

  • Ability to differentiate shades and color to identify defects

  • Ability to handle delicate parts



WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

  • Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock

  • Low to Moderate noise level
