DESCRIPTION: The Test Technician is responsible for product performance testing of critical semiconductor products on dedicated electromechanical test stands and fixtures, and analysis, interpretation, and storage of test data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Setup, test, and evaluate test results using dedicated test fixtures, multi meters, power supplies, and related electromechanical equipment
Testing of electrostatic chucks for voltage breakdown, chucking performance, leakage current, and helium flow
Analysis, interpretation, trouble shooting and storage of test data in accordance with established procedures
Preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment
Troubleshoot and basic equipment repair
Conduct failure analysis activities as required
Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation
Maintain general lab upkeep
Perform additional related duties as assigned
Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associates degree in related engineering discipline or equivalent test experience in a semiconductor environment preferred
Previous experience working with electromechanical test equipment in the semiconductor industry
Working knowledge of basic electronics to understand system function, assist in troubleshooting, and provide the foundation for test results interpretation
Ability to read and interpret schematics and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and follow established procedures
Ability to pay close attention to details of various processes and test methodologies
Ability to solder, build cables, and wire test systems, instrumentation, and units being tested
Must be well-organized and perform basic math
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to take notes, document a process, and repeat the process
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to perform daily tasks with little or no supervision
