We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance intern to join us for our summer internship program!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Initialization:
Familiarize with the CALVIS project and the organizational structure.
Gain access to necessary systems and tools.
Learn about the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Set up email, project tools, and environments.
Complete training on tools and software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, SQL).
Collaborate with the team to understand project processes.
2. Testing Phase:
Assist in developing and executing test cases.
Participate in hands-on testing activities and document findings.
Learn and apply bug tracking and reporting processes.
Collaborate with the team to test or retest defects and LCMRs (Defects and Logical Change Management Requests).
Gain exposure to testing methodologies and best practices.
3. Business Analysis (BA) Phase:
Learn the basics of business analysis and requirements gathering.
Shadow BA team members in meetings and workshops.
Work on BA projects, including document changes and process improvement tasks.
Submit work for review and finalize projects based on feedback.
4. Project Wrap-Up:
Complete any ongoing projects and tasks.
Prepare final reports and documentation summarizing the internship experience.
Present a summary of contributions and experience to the team.
Participate in a farewell meeting and feedback session.
5. Ongoing Initiatives:
Assist with the development of Onboarding pages in Confluence.
Explore ways to relate internship work to finance.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a computer/data science technical degree program
Passion for technology and how it can improve our fellow citizens' wellbeing, create safer communities, and foster a thriving economy.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with generative AI and data visualization tools is a plus.
Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
The current hourly rate is $19.00. This position is classified as non-exempt, eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a compliant workplace, all final candidates will undergo and must pass a comprehensive background screening prior to starting work. This screening may include, but is not limited to, verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and other relevant checks. For certain positions, additional client-specific background screenings may be required in the future, in accordance with client requirements.
Voyatek does significant work with Federal and State tax and revenue authorities. If applicable to this role, all hires will be required to obtain a Federal Public Trust Clearance (Moderate Background Investigation). This clearance process may start upon offer acceptance; and must be cleared prior to working on these projects.
