The Sales Specialist will work with and support the Retail Associate Account Managers with daily tasks and responsibilities. The Sales Specialist will assist with the project details and daily tasks within GLC's departments: Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, QA, etc.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Retail Associate Account Manager team to develop and refine processes and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist in the creation of presentations, spreadsheets, project timelines, and internal and external communications related to new product development, product line expansion, and solution launches.
Support Retail projects by coordinating with internal cross-functional departments to ensure seamless execution.
Actively participate in strategic and planning meetings, maintaining comprehensive and detailed notes.
Assist in analyzing aging product inventory to optimize utilization and reduce waste.
Coordinate and submit sample requests as needed.
Request and coordinate regulatory documents while facilitating the completion of customer questionnaires to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Submit and track customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution, while conducting a weekly analysis to identify emerging trends and areas for improvement.
Forward sales inquiries to the appropriate team members for prompt follow-up and response.
Provide support for customer visit planning to ensure successful engagements.
Assist with bid opportunities by preparing necessary documentation and materials.
Manage the submission of monthly pricing updates in customer portals.
Ensure product quality and value exceed customer and consumer expectations by strictly following Good Manufacturing Practices and the policies outlined in the Safe Quality Food Program.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year project coordination experience.
Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience.
Excellent communicator.
Exceptional organization/prioritization skills.
Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business or a related field.
Cheese, dairy or food experience.
Working Conditions
• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
