We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, particularly focusing on emergency power provisioning for communication facilities impacted by power outages. The Assistant Project Manager will serve as a liaison between various project stakeholders, track project progress, and manage project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison with project stakeholders to ensure project details and deliverables are clearly communicated and understood.
Actively manage emergency power provisioning to communication facilities impacted by power outages.
Effectively communicate with work crews, field personnel, and other teams to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Track and report project progress to management and stakeholders.
Work with applications and databases for customer information and data tracking.
Conduct administrative duties such as scheduling, assigning work to employees and contractors, and assisting with the billing of completed work.
Be available on-call and work at all hours, including nights and weekends.
Collaborate with various teams to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
Ensure the timely resolution of issues and obstacles during project execution.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
College degree preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.
Ability to be on-call once every 4-6 weeks, with a 7pm-7am shift.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
A background in construction, solar industry, or related fields is highly desirable.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, in-person only.
12-hour shifts (Monday to Friday), with the flexibility to work overtime and weekend shifts when required.
On-call duties once every 4-6 weeks from 7pm-7am.
