Job Description:

The VP, Product, Direct to Consumer is responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of US consumer products across digital (web & mobile app) and call center channels. This role is responsible for developing and implementing product marketing strategies to drive consumer awareness and engagement that will continue our double-digit revenue growth strategy. This role will serve as the consumer product expert across the USIS business unit. The role defines and executes on the consumer product vision to deliver relevant, personalized consumer solutions that deliver value for consumers and drive revenue for Equifax. The consumer product portfolio includes - credit & identity monitoring services and lead generation.

This role is responsible for leading a team of product managers overseeing various consumer segments in the US. This team will be responsible for effectively managing the EFX consumer base of 26M+ myEquifax account subscribers and the mapping of products and services. This role has accountability for technical product management for the myEFX platform which delivers solutions not only for the consumer product portfolio but also for other consumer related product offerings within the USIS business including D2C (Direct to Consumer), Regulated, Breach Services, Indirect Consumer Partners, and ID Watchdog.

What you'll do


  • Develop and maintain long and short team consumer product strategy and roadmap and play significant role in defining our US Direct to Consumer 3 year growth strategy
  • Lead and manage a team of product managers and product owners overseeing the consumer product portfolio and digital platform
  • Oversee quarterly capacity planning and prioritization across multiple lines of business and stakeholders
  • Effectively map products across consumer segments
  • Oversee the consumer product journey across all segments
  • Ensure revenue targets are achieved and maximized for web, mobile, call center and other strategic initiatives through strong collaboration with marketing, technology, operations and data & analytics teams
  • Ensures prompt resolution and closure of identified regulated issues
  • Ensures technical product specifications are in compliance of regulatory requirements
  • Propose solutions to address gaps and address new opportunities in the consumer product journey
  • Manage revenue expectations across products, product lines, and portfolios
  • Coach and mentor team members while creating challenging assignments to broaden their skills and improve their adaptability
  • Lead by example and act as role model for the team to increase accountability in alignment with the Equifax shared values

  • People Leadership - Drive and manage the performance of product leaders, providing coaching, development and mentoring to ensure their successful leadership of their teams; Anticipate talent needs and translate required organizational talent needs into unique development opportunities
  • Market Oppty Assessment - Partner with key clients to validate strategy and articulate their current and future needs; Participate in external engagements, demonstrating strong knowledge of market opportunities
  • Product Definition - Oversee product definition of all portfolios within purview to ensure portfolio success; Partner with cross-functional teams and consult on pricing decisions that lead to both financial success and exceeding market demands
  • Product Strategy & Planning - Establish the vision and strategy for the product portfolios and communicate that vision and strategy across the organization; Design objectives through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team and hold accountable subordinate managers to design of objectives leveraging KPIs; Drive Build, Buy, Partner approach and decisions for the products, product lines, & product portfolios within purview
  • Product Delivery & Launch - Define partnership and guidance throughout the product delivery process to ensure strong collaboration with product development, product marketing, and delivery teams; Act as subject matter expert, thought leader, and spokesperson for the product portfolio to all internal and external audiences and stakeholders
  • Growth & Portfolio Mgmt - Demonstrate customer-focused innovation, and provide leadership that enforces a consumer-first mindset and product performance relative to objectives; Provide thought leadership and create strategy for multiple product portfolios; Ensure leaders are driving ongoing portfolio management, ensuring revenue and margin objectives are met

What experience you need

  • Consumer product knowledge expertise at the senior leadership level
  • Minimum 10 years of consumer product industry experience, ideally in the financial services industry
  • Minimum 5 years experience building design-led product management cultures with a proven track record for success
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Strong communications skills and ability to convey technical information to a broad set of stakeholders while maintaining a consumer mindset
  • Ability to lead effectively through change management
