This role requires on-site presence during the first 90 days, transitioning to a hybrid schedule of three days on-site and two days remote.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports and journal entries.
Account Reconciliation: Manage complex general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely closings.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to GAAP, federal and state regulations, and internal policies.
Audit Coordination: Lead audit preparations, develop financial statements, and support single audits.
Cash Flow Management: Analyze cash flow, revenue, and receivables related to sponsored projects. CSUDH Auxiliary
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with various campus departments, auxiliary partners, and leadership.
Process Improvement: Develop and refine processes to enhance reporting, transparency, and efficiency.
Mentorship: Provide training on new regulations and support financial literacy across departments.
What You’ll Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP, audit processes, and financial reporting standards.
Skills: Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Ability to convey complex financial data clearly.
Preferred: Experience in grants or higher education, especially knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), and familiarity with ONESolution or Finance Enterprise.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,000/year depending on experience.
