Overview: Our client, located in Indiana, is seeking a Solar Estimator with exceptional communication skills and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar energy sector, renewable energy, or electrical engineering.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (such as Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline), or comparable professional experience is required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar energy sector, renewable energy, or electrical engineering
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (such as Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline), or comparable professional experience
Knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) system design, adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and commercial interconnection guidelines
Familiarity with solar modeling software such as Helioscope, PVsyst, AutoCAD, Energy Tool Base, or similar tools
Experience in preparing sales proposals and conducting financial analysis, including internal rate of return (IRR), levelized cost of energy (LCOE), and return on investment (ROI) calculations
Excellent communication abilities-comfortable translating technical concepts for a broader, non-specialized audience
Preferred qualifications: NABCEP PV Associate or Technical Sales Certification, experience with commercial financing strategies

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: $100,000 - $115,000. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
