Position Summary:
The Director of Manufacturing Operations will ensure Ergotron's Eagan manufacturing strategy and operations align with company goals and expectations. Areas in scope include: Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Environmental, Health, & Safety, and Facilities.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the manufacture and assembly of Ergotron products, ensuring safety, quality, lead-time/delivery, and productivity/cost standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Monitor and improve reliability and effectiveness of manufacturing processes. Drive and support Lean initiatives that improve safety, quality, lead-time/delivery, and cost/productivity key performance indicators (KPIs). Regularly communicate progress on KPI goals and related improvement projects to all (Leadership through plant associates).
Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through leadership of the facilities, environmental, health, and safety staff.
Contribute to the development of long-range goals, expansion plans, annual budgets, and the implementation of new and advanced technology for our products and processes.
Understand financial drivers and devise Manufacturing plans that optimize profit, cash flow, and meet the evolving needs of Ergotron.
Develop and maintain facility business continuity and crisis management plans.
Develop organizational plans to strengthen Ergotron's Manufacturing performance.
Formulates manufacturing policies; forecasts manpower and facilities requirements; maintains inventory controls; develops production time and quality standards
Regularly assess facilities and equipment layout and justify needed capital improvements to ensure sufficient capacity. Supervise related equipment justification, purchase, installation, qualification, and maintenance.
Develop and adjust production schedules and mix of permanent staffing and contractors as needed to meet customer demand.
Build and maintain culture accountable to goals, objectives, and regulatory compliance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Manufacturing leadership staff to drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Coach department leaders through business and leadership development plans to ensure we have a succession plan for future growth.
Create and ensure compliance with company-wide standard operating procedures (SOPs) and develop and implement local SOPs/processes/procedures where possible and needed.
Work with a sense of urgency, driving the Manufacturing team towards exceeding expectations.
Leads site specific Lean initiatives for continuous process improvement.

Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
BS in Engineering or a technical field required (Manufacturing or Mechanical preferred), MBA preferred.
10+ years of experience managing resources across all levels in a Manufacturing/Assembly environment.
Must have demonstrated experience using Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Outstanding communication skills with the ability to work effectively and interact with cross-functional team members and peers and employees of all levels. Proven leader of junior and growing teams and proven coach and mentor to cross-functional partners within operations. Must possess a collaborative working style that thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
Must be a creative and strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. Must be organized and methodical, able to handle multiple simultaneous projects, have exceptional problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and proactive. Must demonstrate the ability to create, set, and achieve strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals in a fast-paced and nimble environment. A track record of achievement, meeting/exceeding goals, and driving results is required.
Strong digital capabilities with the capacity to learn and utilize new technology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Oracle and Salesforce. (Use for Sales, Global Services and other departments using these systems)
