The IT Integration Lead is dedicated to client implementations and is a critical member of the Avalon Core Implementation Team (CIT). The role of the IT Integration Lead is to serve as the bridge between the client IT team and the Avalon IT team through the technical integration of Avalon’s LBM program into the health plan’s systems. The IT Integration Lead consults our health plan clients on their solution architecture and technical design, and leads the technical requirements gathering for Avalon.
An effective IT Integration Lead will have:
Extensive knowledge of health plan operations.
Strong technical background, with a focus on integration technologies.
Strong personal and communication skills – experience in consulting and/or client-facing roles.
Persistence, assertiveness, and a drive for continuous improvement.
This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel to the corporate office in Tampa, Florida is required.
IT Integration Lead – Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensures successful implementation of the Avalon LBM program (i.e., delivering full program scope on schedule with minimal defects/issues) by ensuring all technical integration points are collaboratively and effectively designed and supported throughout development and testing.
Serves as the client facing subject matter expert on all aspects of technical integration. Delight the client.
Serves as internal subject matter expert for Avalon technical delivery teams on questions of client-driven requirements and Avalon implementation processes.
Drives creative and innovative solutions to new, non-standard requirements from clients
Drives internal process and technical solution improvement opportunities.
Act as business owner of all technical integration related materials within the Avalon Implementation Toolkit (e.g., the relevant sections of the Implementation Guide and supplemental specifications documents).
IT Integration Lead – Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of eight years of IT experience in some combination of testing, development, and project management roles.
Bachelor’s degree
Experience developing on the SQL Server ETL stack.
Strong T-SQL background.
Solid understanding of SOAP and REST webservices.
Experience with HIPAA EDI transactions, especially the 837, 835, 270/271.
Understanding of the healthcare claims adjudication process.
IT Integration Lead – Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with API testing tools, e.g. SoapUI, Postman.
Development experience in .Net or Java technologies.
Comfortable in a high-visibility, individual contributor role with the ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team through problem solving and creative solutioning.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results while balancing competing priorities and timelines.
