Hours: Part-Time (3-4 days per week), typically 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Must be available for IEP meetings, generally occurring between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. This 12-month position involves implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions for students with disabilities. The BCBA will work collaboratively with educational staff, administrators, behaviorists, students, and families to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behavioral change using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group training to educators and staff.
Conduct and support functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and analyses.
Develop and monitor Positive Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
Ensure fidelity in the implementation of behavior intervention plans.
Advise and consult with staff and administrators on best practices and regulations.
Act as a collaborative consultant for school and agency personnel.
Offer expertise in behavior modification for complex cases.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to behavior intervention committees.
Provide services and documentation compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, special education, or a related field.
Active Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA or BCBA-D).
Experience Requirements:
Experience working with students with special needs.
Proficiency in conducting FBAs, writing BSPs, and evaluating their effectiveness.
Strong applied behavior analysis skills and experience with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, significant challenging behaviors, and/or emotional/behavioral disorders.
Proven ability to train staff and families effectively.
Skills in behavioral consultation, performance management, and supervision techniques.
Experience interpreting and conducting behavior analytic research.
Technical and Professional Skills:
Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and behavior data analysis platforms (e.g., Radar, Pro-Filer, or similar software).
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adhere to established guidelines.
