We are looking for a Senior application open systems COBOL/Unix/Database developer to design, build, test, deploy and support Web and Unix applications for Retiree Services business unit of State Street. This is very exciting role in fast paced development environment to work with extremely talented group delivering large development initiatives and managing 24/7 production support across time zones

Design, develop and test web based applications
Ownership and accountability of applications along with upstream and downstream integrations and successful implementation large and complex projects
Extensive domain experience in retiree services payment processing including tax domain expertise.
Work closely with the Product Owners and others on requirements analysis, planning, project management, and execution.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, develop, test, document and implement large software deliverables.
Develop or modifies complex software that is optimized for performance.
Maintains and supports existing software applications.
Identifies and resolves complex application issues and bugs.
Must be able to analyze/translate business requirements into technical specifications and design effective technical solutions and execute projects to successful completion within budget and timeline.
Take ownerhsip to meet or exceed pre-defined SLAs.
Participate in client calls and projects as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
5+ years of experience managing global software development, testing and support staff.
Experience in translating large complex business requirements into technical design and executing it to successful completion.
Maintains and supports existing software applications.
Proficient in Open Systems COBOL development
Experience in relational databases including Oracle, PL/SQL and Stored Procedures
Experience in Github and other source codes systems.
Extensive Experience with UNIX and UNIX ksh scripts
Familiarity with SOA concepts, Design Patterns, Web Services and Agile development methodologies
Execute resiliency, Lifecycle and technology projects (ex: DR fail and stay, Refactor unsupported software)
Advocate and implement best practices and improve team processes.
Experience in requirements analysis and system design.
Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Experience with Design Patterns, Web Services and Agile development methodologies.
Self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible.
Must be a faster learner and multi-tasker.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong oral and written communications skills.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $115,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
