Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled System Requirements Engineer with a strong background in requirements management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring that all system requirements are thoroughly defined, documented, and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
This position work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware and firmware engineers, software developers, project managers and stakeholders. The role is to gather and analyze the necessary product features and then develop the resulting detailed requirements to guide product development and testing. Strong writing skills are required to ensure that requirements are clear and concise for all users.
Familiarity with coherent modems and long-haul optical fiber transmission is preferred, with a willingness to learn about specialized subsea product areas related to configurable electrical power distribution and configurable optical fiber and optical spectrum routing.
Responsibilities
Gather and analyze inputs from product stakeholders in areas such as product features, timelines and business cases.
Develop and maintain detailed product requirements that are traceable, verifiable and achievable, including management of changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Participate in product brainstorming with development teams and provide technical guidance and support during development process.
Develop End User Documentation for these products.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
5+ years of experience in systems engineering or requirements management preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and support for working independently on multiple projects at once.
Excellent writing skills, throughout the requirements development process through to development of end user documentation.
