Overview Are you an experienced network engineer ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role? VectorUSA is seeking a Federal Network Engineer to join our dynamic technical team. In this position, you will design, implement, and maintain complex network systems for both VectorUSA and our federal clients. This role requires expertise in LAN/WAN/WLAN environments, a deep understanding of Aruba networking technologies, and hands-on federal experience. The ideal candidate will hold an active or renewable security clearance and be open to 70% travel.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience
CCNP certification (required)
Strong working knowledge of Aruba wireless solutions (controllers, access points, switches)
Experience in federal environments and knowledge of federal requirements/compliance
Active or renewable security clearance
Willingness to travel up to 70%

What Your Typical Day Will Be:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and VoIP
Install, configure, and upgrade network hardware and firmware, including Aruba wireless controllers and access points
Document all work actions per company and client standards using tools such as Microsoft Visio and Excel
Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and third-party service providers to resolve complex technical issues
Perform systems testing and troubleshooting across diverse networking systems
Provide 24/7 support for critical systems, with potential for night, weekend, or on-call shifts
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to The Table:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience
CCNP certification is required
Strong working knowledge of Aruba wireless solutions, including controllers, access points, and switches
Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and Quality of Service (QoS)
Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting network technologies such as routers, switches, and firewalls
Federal experience, including working within secure and compliant environments
Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-pressure environments
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects independently
Ability to work on varied shifts and participate in an on-call rotation when necessary
Preferred Experience:
Additional certifications in Cisco or Aruba products
Experience with Fortinet networking products
