Purpose Statement

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will coordinate and help maintain all plant programs with OSHA, EPA, and other health , safety and environmental regulationsand standards for the ammonia refrigerationsystem, food processing and wastewater processing. Regulatory scope includes OSHA PSM/RMP, Stormwater pollutionpreventionand ARC Flash electrical safety. This is a 1st Shift position at our Brunswick, GA facility.


Key Accountabilities and Outcomes


  • Works and reports to the Maintenance and Engineering department on assigned projects.

  • Coordinates with Safety Manager and Maintenance Manager to ensure OSHA and EPA / GA EPD programs and standards are maintained and audit ready.

  • Collaborates with key staff from Maintenance, Engineering and Operations departments as required.

  • Notifies Maintenance Manager when compliance issues arise or are identified, when regulatory reports are delayed, and when other immediate action is required.

  • Serves as a representative for regulatory compliance at all inspections and audit review meetings.

  • Coordinates and conducts training as required to maintain compliance with PSM and other regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for maintaining documentation as required for all programs.

  • Ensures facility follows good engineering practices outlined by IIAR and other accredited organizations.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Required Skills/Abilities:




  • Knowledge of applicable federal and stateregulations and the ability to stay current on regulations.

  • Excellent written, mathematical and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. AUTOCAD experience preferred.



Education and Experience:




  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.

  • Two years of related experience preffered.



Physical Requirements:




  • Prolonged periods sittingat a deskand working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Must be able to ascend roof ladders and work in confined spaces.

  • Must be able to withstand outdoor / roof top work as needed.

  • Must be able to train and work with hazardous material - personal protective equipment.
