Video/Camera Service Technician at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Brookfield, Connecticut

The Video/Camera Service Technician will service, inspect, and maintain IP cameras of all types and have solid knowledge of DVR's, NVR's, network switches, routers, and modems. This role involves diagnosing technical issues, performing regular equipment maintenance, and ensuring optimal functionality of all video systems. We are offering a pay range of $25.00 - $35.00 based on experience.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* 

* Install, service, and maintain IP and some analog camera/video systems
* Provide system testing and inspecting to prescribed standards
* Make connections and adjustments as directed
* Test operation of all components of each device in the system for proper operation
* Diagnose and repair technical faults, including hardware malfunctions and software glitches
* Calibrate video equipment for optimal performance
* Maintain detailed records of repairs, installations, and service activities
* Update inventory records for parts and equipment used
* Prepare accurate and timely service tickets and reports
* Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off site
* Adhere to industry standards and safety protocols during installation and servicing
* Perform other duties as required by management
*Education & Qualifications:*  

* Must have a minimum of 1 year of camera, network, and or video equipment troubleshooting experience
* Knowledge of IP cameras, NVR/DVR equipment, and various network equipment required
* Willingness to enroll in and complete manufacturers' online training programs for various camera and access control systems
* Must be available for on-call rotation for service as needed
* Ability to use a variety of hand tools and video/electrical diagnostic equipment
* High level of proficiency in working with computers
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must read and speak English
* Clean driving record and a valid Driver's License required
