As a key leader in the global finance organization, the Global Controller will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for overseeing the company's global accounting operations. This role ensures the integrity and compliance of financial reporting, drives process improvements, and serves as a strategic partner in financial decision-making. The Global Controller will lead a team of four direct reports while providing indirect leadership to regional accounting teams, ensuring they are equipped to support business needs.

This position is located in San Jose, California, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP and statutory requirements.

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee financial close, consolidations, audits, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  
  


• 
  

  Serve as the technical accounting expert, implementing new standards and advising on complex topics such as revenue recognition.

  
  


• 
  

  Lead cash flow management, tax compliance, and financial systems to optimize efficiency and performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage a team of four direct reports, including the North American Controller, Senior Manager of Technical Accounting, and Consolidations, while providing indirect leadership to global accounting teams to ensure they are aligned with business needs.

  
  

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) with 14+ years experience OR Master's degree with 12+ years experience AND related experience includes 4+ years managing people, CPA or equivalent designation

  Proven business partner, collaborating cross-functionally to drive insights, influence decisions, and support strategic objectives.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong business acumen, with experience partnering with commercial teams and aligning finance with broader business goals.

  
  


• 
  

  Skilled in leading teams, developing talent, and driving execution through influence and accountability.

  
  


• 
  

  Adaptable problem-solver, able to zoom in and out between strategic vision and hands-on execution.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  
  

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  Willing to travel up to 30%

  
  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• 
  

  15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in team leadership in a public company environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Track record of process improvement, leveraging lean principles and automation.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with M&A transactions, due diligence, and post-merger integration.

The salary range for this role is $220,000- $265,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
