Description: The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing new construction and renovation projects according to strict deadlines and established budgets. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of both internal team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Assistant Project Manager will also support the efforts to define the project's objectives and enforce quality control activities throughout its life cycle.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support the Project Manager with overall project planning and execution
Identify and prequalify key subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners as required to successfully perform the scope of work on a project.
Support the project manager to effectively negotiate subcontract agreements and develop comprehensive, mutually agreeable scope packages.
Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with development of the overall project schedule.
Prepare monthly reports to convey critical project information to all stakeholders.
Support the needs of the client throughout the project.
Collect, review, and process project documents such as submittals, RFI's, and drawings revisions.
Support clients with execution of owner direct purchase/sales tax savings programs.
Support the Project Manager with timely collection of monthly invoices from trade partners.
Apply for and track project permits and regulatory approvals. Support with inspection and final occupancy approvals.
Participate in or facilitate meetings when required. Develop thorough meeting minutes for all project meetings.
Support monthly invoicing, collection of lien waivers, maintaining certificates of insurance, and subcontractor prequalification efforts.
Participate in and support quality control and safety initiatives throughout the project's life cycle

Demonstrated experience in coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Travel Requirements:
Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
