The Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University Chicago seeks qualified candidates for an appointment as a Lecturer (NTT) in English and Creative Writing with a focus on Creative Nonfiction Writing beginning Fall 2025. The successful candidate will join a department with colleagues doing work in textual studies and digital humanities, creative writing, critical theory, gender and queer studies, and postcolonial and race studies. We seek applicants with backgrounds in teaching and publishing Creative Nonfiction. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach beginning and advanced workshops in Creative Nonfiction, as well as core literature and writing courses, including composition. If qualified, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to teach creative writing workshops in additional genres (fiction or poetry).

The anticipated salary range for this position is in accordance with the
Collective Bargaining Agreement. This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
