Job Title:Research AideDepartment:Arts and Sciences | Molecular Genetics Administration

The Research Aide will be guided in experiments involving yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. They will, under supervision, conduct routine lab maintenance, such as ordering lab supplies, preparing culture media and plates, and keeping clean sterilized glassware. The Research Aide and Interviewer will also handle administrative duties that include maintenance of lab stocks.

Required: High School graduate or Associate's Degree.

Desired: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science or any STEM area. Experience in STEM areas during college education. Experience in Research Technician work (assisting experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related area).

The pay range for this job profile is $15.00 - $19.71. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
