What to Expect


As the Manager, Operations Training Unit Lead, your primary focus is on managing and developing a team of trainers and ensuring the effective delivery of training programs within Operations while executing the vision, strategy, and training plans for operations. Responsibilities include managing the training calendar, coordinating training sessions to meet operational needs and new hire onboarding requirements. Ensures trainers are scheduled appropriately and that training resources are available, ensuring learning solutions and programs are engaging and aligned with the strategic goals of the organization, maintaining the training calendar, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) for new hires, and conducting training needs assessments. Work across OSAT to build teamwork and employee engagement. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.


What You Will Do


1. Actively lead individual/team coaching sessions with a focus on developing relationships that encourage reflection and help team members to improve performance, personal effectiveness, and impact. Engage with team members in a proactive and positive manner during coaching sessions to co-create solutions through effective two-way conversations. Participate in department-level performance coaching initiatives and individual coaching sessions with leadership.

2. Ensure consistency and quality in training delivery by monitoring trainer performance and providing constructive feedback. Hold team members accountable for performance and behaviors as outlined in Company and Department policies and procedures; including but not limited to attendance, performance, prohibited conduct, compliance, and quality. Collaborate with Employee Relations to ensure that the proper corrective action process is followed promptly and ensure all tracking mechanisms are updated and accurate.

3. Measure the effectiveness of programs by leveraging technology, including speech analytics, KPIs, business metrics, participant feedback, performance assessments, and diverse evaluation methods to ensure that learning interventions effectively address crucial skill gaps and developmental needs within the operations. Adjust as applicable to align initiatives with identified needs, aiming to maximize their impact. Share comprehensive training team reports with stakeholders as necessary to assess the effectiveness of the overall training team strategy.

4. Collaborate with department leadership to perform training needs assessments to optimize the delivery of training programs. Make recommendations that streamline learning initiatives while aligning with business objectives to ensure efficient delivery of programs.

5. Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions, supports instructional design as needed.



Qualifications




What You Will Bring


• 5+ years of training experience in automotive finance industry with demonstrated understanding of the adult learning theory principles and capacity to deliver organizational learning activities.

• 1+ years of Instructional Design experience preferred.

• 3+ years of demonstrated supervisory experience and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of trainers.

• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing long-range strategic initiatives.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create training reports and present to senior management and stakeholders.

• Must have the ability to collaborate with senior management and work with outsource partners.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, XL, PowerPoint).

• Demonstrated process improvement skills with an advanced ability to conceptualize and design new methods for practical application. Effectively manage and lead change.

• A high degree of subject matter expertise in the financial services industry particularly as it relates to training standard operating practices.



Work Environment


Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.


The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
