Position Summary The Student Data Coordinator works directly with the Senior Associate Registrar for Scheduling & Reservations with the entry and maintenance of data. Primary emphasis is to maintain student data integrity to ensure student records are accurate and provide first level support for customer contact via office phone, email or in-person, fulfill student transcript requests, and courteous interaction with office contacts.
Essential Duties
  • Investigates and identifies student data discrepancies to ensure a higher level of data integrity.
  • Verifies and processes all requests for updating majors, minors, concentrations and advisors.
  • Responsible for course and University withdrawal processing; including LOA handling, verifies deadline requirements, and processes requests, including updates to financial aid data requirements.
  • Updates and Maintains attributes used to identify specific programs, groups, and initiatives for reporting, invoicing, and degree works.
  • Verify documentation and coordinate with Adult Enrollment and Student Financial Services when processing employee discounts for all eligible students.
  • Responsible for overseeing student transcripts processing requested via the National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Responsible for obtaining correct documentation and updating all addresses, phone numbers, date of birth, social security numbers, and name changes.
  • Assists with other transcript requests, student verifications and other National Student Clearinghouse requests.
  • Assists with registration duties and processing as directed, especially during peak periods.
  • Assists with “walk-in” requests from students, alumni, University faculty, administrators and staff.
  • Assists with telephone inquiries.
  • Liaison to National Student Clearinghouse and other outside organizations, facilitating all enrollment and graduation inquiries, researching and verifying data regarding current students as well as alumni.
  • Responsible for researching, completing, and distributing all student requests for verification forms to the various loan agencies and insurance companies.
  • Completes and distributes all loan deferment forms.
  • Completes inquiries from various loan agencies within their system.
  • Provides primary support for Registrar’s Office e-mail inbox and funnels requests to proper office personnel.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors’ Degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Organized, demonstrates attention to detail, and able to multi task in fast paced environment.
  • Takes initiative working independently and in a team environment.
  • Willing to work within multiple computer systems/data bases to preform responsibilities.
  • Cooperative and positive attitude.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with BANNER and/or higher education

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
  • Responsibilities include frequently moving from desk to counter, printer or other offices on campus.
  • Requires working each graduation ceremony in May.
