Meta seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel for Meta's Reality Labs product team. This position will play a key role delivering product legal support for consumer health devices and features subject to US and international compliance and regulatory requirements.
Associate General Counsel - Health Wearables Responsibilities:
This role will support Meta's Wearables product team, working across key subject areas such as sales, privacy, competition, medical devices to advise on regulatory requirements for the sale and development of regulated features, such as prescription eyeglasses. This role will also be responsible for providing legal support for market access activities, such as insurance reimbursements.
Minimum Qualifications:
J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar (must also be licensed to practice in state of assigned Meta office)
8+ years of practicing attorney experience, including in-house and/law firm
Experience in medical device, life sciences, or healthcare industry
In-depth knowledge of US and international laws related to medical devices and digital health technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience advising on issues related to product counseling, consumer law, and medical device regulations
Experience building close relationships and effectively partnering with business clients and other members of the legal department across the globe to support business objectives.
Experience working with insurance companies or health care providers to process insurance claims on behalf of purchasers
Experience delivering regulatory advice for technology advancing faster than applicable policies and regulatory regimes
Experience applying a risk-based analysis to legal issues and demonstrate innovation and flexibility in developing solutions to novel issues

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
