Job Summary | UK Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated oncology pharmacist for a program coordinator position in ambulatory infusion . The pharmacist makes clinical interventions in terms of patient education, clinical pharmacokinetic/anti-coagulation/immunosuppressant monitoring, drug information, cost-effective care analysis, direct patient care, and interacts with pharmacy residents and students. This position will be based primarily in the adult outpatient infusion setting (oncology) with duties including order verification, oversight of sterile hazardous compounding in accordance with USP 797/800, and collaboration with nursing and physician colleagues regarding drug therapy administration. Additionally, the program coordinator will be responsible for workflow optimization, validation of new medication record build, supply chain coordination and will serve as a staff education lead. There is an internal candidate being considered. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of inpatient pharmacy workflows; understanding of pharmacy information systems and automation; and knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare related regulations and standards. |

Preferred Education/Experience | PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency preferred. 3-4 years of experience preferred. |
