As a Tooling Design Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Outage Services Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Framatome's Outage Services group focuses on performing Reactor maintenance and refueling during scheduled outages. The Outage Services Engineering team helps to design and develop tooling that is used during these maintenance activities to enhance safety, improve efficiency, and increase reliability. They also support specialized and/or infrequently performed maintenance activities to ensure first time quality and meet our customer's needs. This Tooling Design Engineer will be incorporated into a team of engineers that develop and maintain tooling/equipment used to support BWR and PWR refueling outages. Additionally, you will support and provide technical expertise for special projects undertaken by both BWR and PWR Reactor Services organizations. You work will include:
Designing specialized tools to be used in PWR and BWR plants, specifically for reactor disassembly/reassembly and fuel movement.
Developing new products, processes, and systems that add value to the existing commercial nuclear fleet.
Develop tooling to support future AMR/SMR outage tasks.
Researching and assessing best practices and proposing new methods and improvements.
Working on special outage services projects, as directed.
Perform troubleshooting activities on existing tools/equipment to identify issues or deficiencies and return the tools to service.

Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
