Job Summary | The Kentucky Geological Survey (KGS) is seeking a safety-conscious and self-motivated employee to contribute to a grant-funded project preserving oil and gas well cuttings for use in research. This position starts on June 1, 2025. The position will last until May 31, 2028, and is eligible for healthcare benefits. This posting will stay open until it is filled. What you’ll do:

Where you’ll work: KGS Earth Analysis Research Library is a rock, mineral and soil analysis and storage facility located at 2500 Research Park Drive, Lexington, KY. This facility is not located on UK’s main campus. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills, teamwork, must have legible handwriting |

Preferred Education/Experience | Associates in Earth Science or Archeology. Warehouse experience including operating stock pickers, forklifts, etc. is a plus. |
