Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to manage invoicing, collections, and customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in AR processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients while ensuring timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:




Accounts Receivable (AR):




  • Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.

  • Apply customer payments and reconcile AR balances.

  • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate records of all AR transactions.



Collections:




  • Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence regarding past-due invoices.

  • Negotiate payment plans when necessary while maintaining customer relationships.

  • Investigate and resolve disputes related to billing and payments.

  • Escalate delinquent accounts to management or external collections agencies when appropriate.

  • Prepare and provide reports on collection activities and outstanding balances.



Qualifications & Requirements:





  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).


  • Experience: 5+ years in AR, collections, or related roles.


  • Technical Skills:



    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).

    • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting).




  • Soft Skills:



    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
