This role involves answering phones, intaking families at the center, writing sympathy cards, and performing opening and closing duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a strong sense of responsibility. Note: must be available to work at least one weekend day.Why You Would Be a Great Fit:You are highly organized and precise in your work.Naturally caring, patient, kind, and empathetic, especially in sensitive or emotional situations.You adapt seamlessly to new environments and can work both independently and collaboratively.You possess strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable using phone systems.You are quick on your feet, able to resolve issues effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.You are reliable and punctual, with the ability to manage multiple tasks using basic computer applications.Capable of performing physical tasks such as frequent desk work, handling deceased pets, and occasional bending and lifting.Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is a plus.Previous customer service or sales experience, particularly in emotionally sensitive roles, is preferred.Essential Responsibilities:Deliver caring, professional service to pet parents in person, via phone, email, and/or text.Handle all animals in our care with the utmost respect.Welcome clients warmly upon their arrival at the office.Maintain a tidy and presentable front office area and restroom.Coordinate cremated remains releases, scheduling, and deceased pet drop-offs.Organize deceased pet pickups and hand deliveries as required.Conduct quality checks of the cremation process.Order name plates and manage shipping of cremated remains.Proficient use of cremation tracking software and various veterinary software.Ensure opening and closing procedures at the center are completed to managements standards.Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100+ pounds with assistance.Non-Essential Responsibilities:Assist cremation technicians in the processing of pets.Write sympathy cards and maintain an organized process for writing/mailing cards.Manage urn and packaging of cremated remains for client return.Stock inventory.File paperwork.Manage pet release from cremation tracking software.Perform miscellaneous office duties as needed.Working Conditions:This position involves direct interaction with grieving families, requiring a high level of emotional intelligence and compassion. The role may require standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks.
