Location:
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in Richmond, VA; Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC; or Knoxville, TN, or the surrounding areas. Candidates outside of these locations will not be considered.
Job Description:
As a Financial Consultant, you will collaborate with our current clients while developing new relationships across various client types, including high-net-worth individuals, endowments & foundations, businesses, and qualified plans.
Our current investment services include:
Retirement planning/cash-flow modeling
Estate plan reviews and recommendations
Tax planning
Insurance advice
You will be part of an advisory team responsible for maintaining regular client communication and ensuring each client stays on track toward their financial goals. This is a consultative sales role, with an expectation to promote our advisory capabilities and investment solutions to grow our client base over time. You will report to the Managing Director of Wealth Management.
Responsibilities:
Establish trust and serve as the main advisor for clients' wealth management needs.
Discuss client investment goals, considering factors such as risk tolerance, asset allocation, cash flow requirements, tax sensitivity, and life events.
Work with the advisory team to implement investment plans and adjust strategies as needed.
Monitor client investment portfolios and performance.
Communicate key insights regarding contributors and detractors.
Advise high-net-worth individuals and consult with mid-market institutional clients.
Develop and present comprehensive wealth management plans for individuals.
Create and present consulting reports for institutional clients.
Actively seek new business opportunities and expand client relationships.
Develop expertise in financial planning software and technology.
Maintain clear and regular tracking of all client and prospect interactions in Salesforce (CRM).
Participate in regular internal meetings.
Adapt schedule to best serve client needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher.
5+ years of relevant experience.
Series 6, 63, & 65 or Series 7 & 66 required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or a comparable professional designation preferred (or willingness to pursue).
Experience with Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and LinkedIn preferred.
Must be able to pass a FINRA BrokerCheck with no disclosures.
Comfortable working in a new territory without an existing client base.
Strong networking skills with the ability to generate, develop, and follow up on leads.
Proven track record of new business development.

Compensation: $90,000 - $150,000 base salary (depending on experience) + additional incentive/commission-based compensation
