Role Description
We're seeking an experienced Loan Officer Assistant to help a top-producing Loan Originator. This full-time, on-site role is vital in providing administrative and clerical support to the Loan Officer and the Loan Processing Department. The ideal candidate is a bilingual (English/Spanish) team player, proactive problem-solver, and customer service oriented.
Key Responsibilities • Bi-lingual - fluent in English and Spanish required • Maintain clear and consistent communication with all relevant parties (Loan Officer, borrower, Processor) throughout the loan process • Assist the Loan Officer with initial applications, disclosures, and loan estimate preparation • Create and maintain borrower files within the loan origination system • Follow up with the Loan Officer and borrowers to ensure timely submission of documents into the loan origination system • Review application files for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards, flagging discrepancies for the Loan Officer • Assist in gathering loan conditions from borrowers as required • Exhibit strong communication and decision-making abilities • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment • Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold company standards • Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Willingness to obtain an NMLS license
Knowledge of mortgage loan processes and documentation
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
