Job Overview:
We are seeking a Junior IT Project Manager to join our IT Construction Department and grow into a leadership role. This individual will train alongside a retiring team member, ensuring a seamless transition. The role involves managing IT infrastructure projects related to construction, renovations, and site decommissioning, with occasional travel to various construction sites across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage 4-6 infrastructure projects concurrently, with durations ranging from 2-3 years.
Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure IT infrastructure is integrated into projects.
Participate in project planning meetings covering solar, wind, renovations, gas construction, and more.
Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders via weekly operating reviews.
Oversee budgets and forecasting for projects ranging from $300K to several million dollars.
Support the integration of SCADA networks for upcoming solar farm projects.
Coordinate IT system configurations in SAP for new construction projects.
Assist in infrastructure setup for trailers, new buildings, decommissioning projects, and renovations.
Required Qualifications:
2-5 years of project management experience with a focus on IT infrastructure.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including routers, switches, and circuit installation.
Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams, developers, and external stakeholders.
Construction experience or background preferred.
Experience with SAP and Unifier is a plus.
Must be able to obtain NERC certification (requires passing a 7-year background check).
