About the Role:
The firm is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take on a key role in MEP design quality control. This position focuses on ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) designs meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and integration with architectural plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building system design, particularly HVAC, and will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and design teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and assess MEP designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with codes and standards.
Conduct quality assurance checks to verify coordination between MEP systems and architectural construction documents.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams on mechanical and HVAC system designs.
Prepare detailed reports outlining deficiencies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP designs.
Enhance internal quality assurance processes, standards, and guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering required.
8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on MEP systems design.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards, particularly in public school projects (preferred).
Proven ability to identify and resolve coordination issues in design documents.
Leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to support team and business growth.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other MEP design software.
