What You'll Do
Provide Control Systems support to ensure the efficient, cost-effective production of high-quality high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and specialty fluids while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and employee relations. The role involves diverse tasks, often requiring prompt problem-solving.
Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:
Reliability & Loss Control: Improve plant performance by following safety protocols and using loss control software for reporting.
24/7 Availability: On-call for plant emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with overtime as needed.
Operational Responsibilities:
Control Systems Management: Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot process control systems and data integrity.
Alarm & HMI Optimization: Analyze alarm data, resolve nuisance alarms, and enhance the operator interface.
Engineering & Projects: Assist in small projects involving graphics, logic, scripting, and alarms; support contract DCS programmers.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
Plant Control System Maintenance: Oversee DCS, SIS, and PLC systems, including updates, troubleshooting, and network issues.
System Upgrades & Equipment Setup: Install and modify PLC/DCS configurations without downtime; manage new equipment integration.
Network & Security: Maintain process control networks, implement security measures, and support alarm programming.
What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; advanced training in field preferred (Instrumentation or IT)
2 or more years of manufacturing plant experience in an instrumentation or related role (chemical plant, refineries, similar)
2 or more years' experience with Honeywell TDC300
Experience with Experion or Emerson DeltaV systems preferred
Excellent verbal/written communication
Ability to manage multiple issues/projects simultaneously
Candidates will be required to successfully complete extensive testing and an extended training period.
Experience with Honeywell Safety Manager or Emerson DeltaV SIS Logic Solver preferred.
Experience editing PLC or PLC training preferred
Associates degree in instrumentation or similar field preferred.
