Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled RAN Systems & RF Engineer with expertise in VoLTE and 4G/5G technologies to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for proactive monitoring, KPI analysis, troubleshooting, and using data-driven insights to improve network performance. You will work closely with internal teams to resolve performance issues and drive optimization efforts across key performance indicators (KPIs) for our wireless network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactive KPI Monitoring: Identify degradation in KPIs for VoLTE, 4G/5G technologies and analyze root causes.
  • Parameter Analysis: Analyze changes in service-impacting parameters and alarms, and assess their impact on network KPIs.
  • Collaboration with Tier-3 Teams: Troubleshoot and resolve internal performance tickets with Tier-3 teams.
  • VoLTE KPI Optimization: Focus on improving muting, drop calls, and optimizing handover processes, with a special focus on reducing RRE.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to define KPI measurement methodologies and acceptance targets for 4G/5G RAN products.
  • Data Analytics & Visualization: Use statistical languages such as R, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/Spotfire) to analyze large datasets and present actionable insights.
  • Product & Feature Analysis: Aid in the evaluation of new product & software releases, and use data science methods to drive product synergies and intelligent business decisions.
  • Network Performance Monitoring: Proactively define and interpret data metrics/KPIs, analyze results, and provide insights to identify trends and opportunities for improvement across 4G/5G RAN products.
  • Reporting & Communication: Present key findings to stakeholders using visualizations and/or other suitable methods, translating complex ideas into clear, actionable insights.
  • Mentorship & Team Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers, supporting the team's growth and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field). Advanced degrees in Data Science or Data Engineering are a plus.
  • Experience: At least 6+ years of professional experience in RAN Systems, RF Engineering, and network optimization.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge in CDMA, EVDO, LTE, VoLTE, 5G, and wireless technologies.
  • Data Analytics Skills: Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals), data visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire), and programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
  • KPI & Network Performance Management: In-depth understanding of KPI monitoring, performance trend analysis, and the ability to evaluate service performance.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to provide actionable insights.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience with wireless infrastructure providers and/or operators is a plus.

Additional Skills:
  • RAN System Performance Optimization: Knowledge and experience in optimizing RAN performance, especially with focus on VoLTE and handover optimizations.
  • Product Evaluation: Experience in evaluating new products and software releases using data science analytics.
  • Mentorship: Strong record in mentoring colleagues and improving team efficiency.
