About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Consultant to drive Lab informatics initiatives for Biopharma and Biotech customers in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role will focus on optimizing scientific workflows, data management, and system integrations to enhance R&D operations. You will work closely with scientists, R&D IT teams, and business stakeholders to assess needs and implement technology-driven solutions that improve research efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess scientific workflows to identify opportunities for digital transformation and automation.
  • Designing and implementing Digital transformation Roadmap across different divisions of a BioPharma organisation.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of lab informatics solutions.
  • Collaborate with scientists, R&D IT teams, and business stakeholders to align technology with research goals.
  • Conduct Gap Analysis, define future-state processes, and develop functional specifications.
  • Oversee system integrations between lab informatics platforms, instruments, and enterprise applications.
  • Develop data migration strategies from legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Provide technical advisory and project management support throughout the transformation journey.
  • Conduct training and change management activities to maximise user adoption and system effectiveness.
  • Prior experience working with scientists and data in areas such as Cancer Immunology, Bioinformatics, Discovery Science, Translational Sciences, Discovery Chemistry
  • Ideal candidates should have experience in implementing ELN/LIMS and managing scientific data platforms at the enterprise level

What You Bring:
  • Over 10 years of experience in the scientific informatics field, possessing a strategic mindset to offer a long-term roadmap and assist with the implementation
  • Strong understanding of scientific workflows, data management, and research IT solutions.
  • Experience with system integration, data migration, and workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with scientific software, cloud-based informatics platforms, and enterprise systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact with scientists, IT teams, and senior executives.

What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent in a scientific or health care field.
  • Minimum 10 years as a transformation consultant, preferably in the pharmaceutical /Life sciences industry.
