POSITION SUMMARY:
Ethika is seeking a highly-analytical and detailed Demand Planner and Inventory Analyst to collaborate with the Finance, Sales and Production Departments to create comprehensive seasonal and monthly demand plans for the e-commerce and wholesale channels. The Demand Planner will conduct detailed analysis of past and current sales trends, sell-in/through rates and other key market insights to build monthly, long-term and seasonal demand plans, and monitor real-time results to ensure healthy inventory levels are maintained at all times.
The ideal candidate will be highly-detailed and organized, and enjoy analyzing large, complex data sets to identify key insights and make objective demand plan recommendations for the e-commerce and wholesale channels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze historical data, sales forecasts, sell-in/through rates, and other market insights to establish detailed demand plans for the e-commerce and wholesale channels
Collaborate with the Finance, Sales and Production Departments to obtain consensus on the demand plans
Identify seasonal inventory buy needs in accordance with buy calendar milestones
Reconcile inbound inventory with expected monthly and in-season demand to identify supply/demand gaps
Analyze on-hand and inbound monthly and seasonal inventory compared to expected monthly and in-season shipments to identify current and projected future obsolete inventory
Prepare all relevant materials to support and facilitate inventory planning analysis
Maintain demand planning data and models, ensuring data cleanliness and monitoring forecast error
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance or related field
5+ years of directly-related forecasting and analytics experience
Experience planning, forecasting, and/or buying for a seasonal business
Expert knowledge of Excel
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills, as well as an attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, while having the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex information to a broad audience
