About the Role
As part of the firm's organic growth strategy, we have an opportunity for an individual who is motivated to become an integral part of a fast-growing Fund Administration firm by supporting loan administration activities.
Responsibilities
Boarding new loans in our system, which will act as a subledger to the official books and records, Investran
Accounting for Lifecyle events (at present these are all bi-lateral loans)
Working with the loan agent to ensure that the borrowers are invoiced properly and to ensure that their payments are received in a timely manner
Maintaining a calendar of deliverables and important dates related to each borrower's covenants and reporting requirements
Collecting financial information from the borrowers, aggregating that data and reporting back to the loan agent/client
Working with the respective fund administration team(s) to ensure that the loan accounting is correct in the official books and records for the fund
Qualifications
Studying towards a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business degree
Required Skills
Introduction to financial products including, but not limited to, public and private equity, fixed income, venture capital, and real estate, a major plus
Previous experience working as an Associate or similar loan administration capacity
Self-motivated, confident, patient and a strong desire to exceed expectations
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with unsurpassed attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a start-up environment with an entrepreneurial spirit, as well as the ability to demonstrate initiative and perform well under pressure
