Role Description: The Senior Agile Project Manager is responsible for providing project management oversight and driving successful execution of strategic business transformation initiatives. This role involves managing the end-to-end delivery of approximately 4-6 medium to large business or technology-focused initiatives simultaneously, within a highly regulated environment. Teams operate in a combination of waterfall, hybrid, and Agile methodologies, requiring adaptability to perform as a servant leader, facilitator, experienced project manager, and program manager.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with proven experience in setting realistic expectations with stakeholders, addressing delivery dependencies, and managing complex risks, decisions, and issue remediation. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential, with the ability to manage conflicts, negotiate deadlines, and build effective partnerships both within and outside the organization. The role also emphasizes removing obstacles, leveraging experiences to anticipate needs, eliminating waste, and delivering consumer-centric, value-driven outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end project execution lifecycle for assigned business or technical initiatives.
  • Drive initiative planning and execution under pressure and ambiguity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor delivery teams to ensure clear understanding of scope, responsibilities, deliverables, and definition of success.
  • Partner with Scrum Teams and Release Trains to coordinate autonomous delivery efforts.
  • Coordinate delivery with other internal teams and external partners/vendors.
  • Develop and implement robust execution plans to ensure on-time delivery with quality and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Identify, analyze, and manage cross-functional project dependencies, scope changes, issues, risks, assumptions, actions, and decisions to ensure effective execution.
  • Provide succinct verbal and written communications to articulate project progress, challenges, and remediation strategies.
  • Lead cross-team efforts to mitigate risks, address issues, and secure project decisions to remove delivery blockers.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and refine project/operating processes based on lessons learned.
  • Adhere to Portfolio Delivery processes to ensure delivery quality, consistency, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Support ongoing PMO processes and quality improvement initiatives in alignment with Agile Delivery.

Ideal Candidate Background:
  • Agile project management experience in matrixed organizations or highly regulated industries.
  • Program management experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading or managing medium to large-scale projects.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end execution and delivering results on highly visible, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong business and technology acumen with demonstrated ability to build collaborative cross-team partnerships, plan, and execute complex solutions.
  • Excellent communication (interpersonal, oral, and written) and meeting facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated project delivery experience in an Agile framework and culture.
  • Experience with SAFe, Scrum, Lean, or Kanban methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business, healthcare, or computer science.
  • PMP, SAFe certification, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other project management certifications.
  • Agile product development experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Ability to cultivate collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills/Attributes:
  • Medicare Insurance experience, particularly in Medicare Supplement Insurance.
  • Focus on consumer-centric solution delivery.

Interview Process:
