Title: Sr. Financial Analyst - Cost Control & Remanufacturing

Key Accountabilities:
Analyze and report country of origin for all consumed materials on a monthly basis; maintain a summarized record of material usage year-to-date and historically and perform ad-hoc material analyses as needed.
Analyze and report sources of direct variance five times per month or as needed; maintain a record of cost variances and variance resolution over time and correct any errors in movement, invoicing, receiving, or cost.
Perform annual cost roll for direct material and in-house material and cost new or changed materials on an ad hoc basis.
Analyze and report on additional material cost categories (scrap, QM orders, price difference, etc)
Actively support the calculation of the government ICE model rates and other governmental projects by downloading and organizing data as needed.
Assist in make vs buy analyses to ensure that only parts that will reduce cost and increase profit margin are pursued for remanufacture. Periodically review cost in the market to ensure reman remains the best cost option.
Assist realization controlling of remanufacturing business case as needed to ensure that targets are being met and/or to determine and explain why they are not.
Prepare daily/ monthly/ quarterly reporting tasks for headquarters and other managers outside of Controlling/ Finance timely. Conduct plausibility checks to ensure accuracy.
Prepare monthly/ quarterly/ yearly planning/ forecasting tasks for assigned area of responsibility, conduct actual vs. plan comparisons to analyze variances, actively manage improvements and ensure accuracy by working closely together with the internal business partners and financial shared service.
Perform tasks related to month end close. Support co-workers during month end closing process, e.g. cost reconciliation, issuing credits/debits, processing monthly accruals, etc.
Support internal and external audit tasks for assigned area of responsibility.
Manage special projects and miscellaneous ad-hoc requests as assigned including but not limited to preparation of financial analysis, evaluation of best alternatives & recommendations including scrubbing of legal cost allowance for governmental rates.
Coordinate the internal control system as Subject Process Expert (SPE) for the entire Controlling department. Support the Internal Control System (ICS) by monitoring risks and effectiveness of controls for the assigned Area of Responsibility (AoR). Provide sufficient evidence of control timely.
Coordinate internal customer request as back-up for Plant Controlling to ensure that all requests are directed properly and answered in a timely manner.
Trusted to deliver excellence to our (internal) customer and other stakeholder.
Provide guideline in form of policy, local work instruction, desk procedures etc. Ensure awareness throughout the team. Prepare presentation and conduct training of assigned cross functional processes/ tasks.
Develop and continuously improve FiCo tools, methodology, processes and IT systems.
Understand functions, responsibilities and procedures utilized in various financial departments.
Maintain knowledge of developments in the field of finance, controlling and economic theory.
Keep management actively abreast of progress, developments and pending problems.
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
Perform special projects as required.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting or Business Administration and 5 years of controlling experience; or 9 years of controlling experience.
Excellent knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Excellent knowledge of computer applications and controlled systems.

Travel - domestic and international (if required).
Proficient in PC and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions Internal Control Systems
Knowledge of Rolls Royce Solutions or comparable diesel products, and their applications.
Knowledge of cost allowances for governmental rates
Knowledgeable of SAP systems.
Proficient in German language
