The Production Scheduler II oversees effective production schedule management while identifying opportunities to improve day to day workload balance through manufacturing to invoicing.
What You'll Be Doing
Schedule quickly and efficiently sales orders into Henny Penny's ERP system
Communicate with production planning/manufacturing to meet the customer's requested ship date
Lead communication between functional groups to resolve conflicts between customer requested ship date and manufacturing date
Alter schedules if changes in customer demand so dictates
Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve efficiently
Review and maintain stock inventory levels at levels established by production planning
Review and report slow moving inventory or canceled inventory to production planning and manufacturing
Oversee the daily processes and throughput. Develop, evolve, and monitor KPIs tied to customer obligations
Communicates with operations leadership team regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area.
Attend SOP meetings and daily production meetings when necessary
Coordinates Scheduling COI projects
Prepare various reports for distribution to internal customers
Actively seek and promote process improvements within the production scheduling role processes and within the customer services team
Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction
Train additional supply chain team members to fill in when out of the office
Work with other supply chain team members to balance out workload for manufacturing, shipping, and logistics
Consistently model the Company Values and Expected Behaviors

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in business preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years' production scheduling experience
Experience in a high mix manufacturing environment is a plus
Minimum 4 years' experience working with ERP systems
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams, One Note, Visio, Smart Sheet with the ability to quickly learn new software using the training tools provided
Ability to use discretion and sound judgement to make decisions
Strong organizational skills including strict attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to multi-task
Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and to various audiences
Proven oral and written communication skills including the ability to customize communication to fit audiences and effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Proven success demonstrating a customer service mind-set
Proven success assimilating and applying, in a timely matter, new job-related information that may vary in detail and complexity
Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with other departments
Ability to solve complex problems and offer creative solutions
Ability to effectively handle stressful situations with diplomacy and tact
