Schedule: 5 shifts, 8 hours each - Nights, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist responsible for acquiring high-quality radiographs and performing fluoroscopy for diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic purposes. This role requires expertise in radiologic technology, equipment operation, and patient positioning.
Responsibilities:
Operate radiographic, fluoroscopy, and portable x-ray equipment independently in diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic settings.
Perform all diagnostic imaging procedures with precision, including patient preparation, history collection, and correct positioning.
Follow radiation safety protocols, utilize appropriate shielding, and prepare contrast solutions as needed.
Monitor and manage imaging workflows, including PACS for problem studies and call reports.
Document procedures thoroughly, including clinical details, images captured, and other relevant information.
Maintain flexibility for shift rotations, weekend assignments, and campus changes as required.
Adhere to department policies, hospital protocols, and guiding behaviors, such as communication, collaboration, and compassion.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
Current ARRT certification.
New York State Radiologic Technology license.
New graduates must obtain a temporary permit valid for six months or until passing the ARRT boards.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to push/pull and lift/move 35 lbs.
Perform moderately difficult manual tasks such as typing, filing, and data entry for extended periods.
Maintain mobility for tasks requiring squatting, standing, or moving for reasonable periods.
Preferred Attributes:
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues.
Willingness to assist with medical assistant duties as needed.
Strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and departmental goals.
