Job Description
The primary function of the Jr Tax Accountant is the preparation of sales-and-use tax returns, property tax returns, and state and local income tax returns under supervision of a Senior Tax Associate/Tax Manager, and the Tax Department's cash disbursements on a timely basis.
This position works a hybrid schedule.
Maintains tax records and prepares tax payments
Estimates, prepares, and tracks monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns
Organizes and updates the company's tax database
Shares financial data with the Finance department
Identifies tax savings and suggests ways to increase profits
Prepare materials for internal and external auditors
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax or related discipline
0-2 years of relevant experience
Well-versed in ERP systems required (Oracle 12 preferred, Corptax, etc.)
