Directs an ongoing university program to ensure that prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with its mission and/or specified objectives. Prepares short- and long-term goals and objectives.

1. Plans, develops and administers methods, strategies and procedures for meeting program objectives; directs and oversees the daily activities of staff members.
2. Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures that expenditures are within budget allocation.
3. Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinate personnel, activities concerned with carrying out the objectives of the program.
4. Directs the preparation of and reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objectives; modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attains objectives.
5. Analyzes trends within program areas, maintaining expert awareness of program information and change needs.
6. Formulates, implements, and maintains appropriate policies and procedures concerning program administration.
7. Manages and administers grant for program, including meetings, communication coordination, scholarships and other operations.
8. May prepare or participate in the preparation of proposals to obtain grants from state and federal agencies, and private foundation sponsors.
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

This position works in the Rockwell Career Center at the C. T. Bauer College of Business. The Assistant Director, Alumni and Career Center Operations will develop, implement, and manage career development initiatives for alumni. This role will also oversee the department's social media presence and technology systems, leveraging innovative tools to enhance engagement, career coaching, and professional development for both current students and alumni. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and implementing technology solutions, a strong understanding of diverse career paths and continuing education opportunities, and a passion for supporting students and alumni in their career progression.

Position includes the following responsibilities but not limited to:
• Alumni Career Development & Programming: Develop and implement career coaching, programming, and networking opportunities for alumni. Strengthen the alumni network by fostering ongoing professional development, career advancement, and support for career progression for a range of workforce professionals.
• Technology Integration & Resource Management: Leverage technology to deliver scalable, high-quality career coaching experiences, professional development programs, and innovative career tools for students and alumni. Develop and maintain digital resources, ensuring accessibility and alignment with evolving needs. Implement new technology platforms and research emerging systems to improve service delivery.
• Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with various School of Business and University stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic planning and resource development for students and alumni. Stay informed of industry trends and adapt programs and services to meet emerging needs.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Track, monitor, and report on student and alumni engagement activities and outcomes, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Preferences:
• Master's degree in business, higher education, or a related field.
• Experience in a business school setting, focusing on career and professional development, supporting students and/or alumni.
• Experience in utilizing technology to support students and programs
• Experience working with a diverse population, including both domestic and international students and alumni, to address career needs.
• Experience with career management platforms, web-based tools, and managing technology systems to enhance career services and marketing efforts.

Skills & Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of career development strategies, job search tools, industry trends, and professional networking best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Zoom, Teams, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
• Solid understanding of Bauer programs, majors, and academic offerings to effectively guide and support students and alumni.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and task prioritization skills.
• Strong ability to develop and deliver professional presentations in a virtual environment with a student-centered approach.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
• Familiarity with handling confidential information and navigating sensitive situations.

• Ability to work effectively within a high-functioning, collaborative team environment.
• Proven track record of using technology to deliver programs and effectively manage systems for audience engagement and communication.
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
